Beta Alpha Psi is a co-ed professional/service based student organization within the College of Business.

The Beta 5K was founded to combine the philanthropic interests and athletic desires of our current executive board into one event.   Each time the board changes, the charities benefited through this event will also change.  This allows the profits of each year’s race to go to organizations the current race planners feel passionate about.

Teach for America

Their mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort. They recruit recent college graduates with interests to commit to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools.

Teach for America has a network of over 24,000 individuals, with 7,300 currently teaching in 35 urban and rural areas profoundly affected by the acheivement gap. They are working extraordinarily hard to ensure that their students achieve academic success despite the inequities they face.

Each year through our ministry about 15,000 volunteers repair homes for 400-500 low-income families in rural areas of Central Appalachia. Our goal is to make homes warmer, safer and drier for families in need, while offering transformational experiences for families, volunteers and staff alike.
